How Much Should a website cost?
At a very low cost, around
$300 to $600 dollars I can produce a site that looks adequate for many
basic purposes using templaes. For these low cost sites I prefer all
hosting details are arranged by you and I can guide you through the
process.
Custom design web
development typically start at $2,000 (just for the design elements) and
can range upwards from there. The advantage of custom design is that you
communicate a look and feel that is particular to your firm or company
and include the custom elements you desire or need for your site to
perform in the way in which you desire.

The first step is to
register a domain name, an obtain hosting. I recommend consulting me for
what you need from a host. I can obtain this for you or you can do it
yourself. The we need to talk and plan for the development. Find out
what you need, what you want, and how you want it all to work together.

Is it easier if I can do certain things myself?
Common Sense goes a long
way in this world and I have accomplished much with what God has given
me, but there is no way I can know your business as well as you know it!
We have to either strive to communicate very effectively or you need to
provide me with the content for your site! It is not only easier if you
know what your site wants to promote, it's cheaper! The more information
and content provided by you, the stronger, and better your site will be.
We can do this by talking and me taking notes or you can write it
yourself and provide it to me. I will take this content and comb
it, make it effective, shape and utilize it to make it attractive,
stimulating, and functional!
I want to update
my site frequently is this possible?
There are two ways this
can be done. One I can establish a per hour/ per item rate or I can
build your site so that you can upload information yourself. Either way
is fine with me, but this should be determined in the early planning
stages.
I have an
existing site can Denz redesign it?
Yes, I will determine your
salvageable content and create a battle plan to design a more effective
up to date site.
Myth's about website's rankings with search
engines?
The one thing
most web companies will not tell you is that it takes time to climb the
ladder. You can have every tag and page marked perfectly for search
engines, but the site that has the longest time on the net or the most
hits will usually win. Unless you pay a pretty penny to the world wide
web referees.
Design
elements such as text on the front page, meta-tags, page titles, and
keywords provide for maximum placement with search engines. Once a site
is up, it should be registered with all the major search engines, any
specialized search engines, industry specific lists, and cross-linked to
related sites whenever possible. More specific on-line marketing might
involve banner ads on relevant sites, placement of logos and URLs in
html newsletters, and identification of media sources that could
reference the site.
Being
submitted to 1,500 engines once a month may sound like a great deal, but
only the top twenty or so are relevant, along with industry-specific
directories. Hand submission, either in-house or by me are far more
effective.
How long will it take to develop my site?
Boy this is a loaded
question.....It depends all upon the complexity of your site, the
research and information required to develop it. This is a question
better left unanswered until I have more information! But I am
responsive and quick!
